פרנק סינטרה – דרכי.                           

And now, the end is near;

וכעת, הסוף קרוב;

.And so I face the final curtain

ואני ניצב בפני המסך האחרון.

My friend, I’ll say it clear;

חברי, אומר זאת ברור;

I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain.

אטען את טיעוניי, לגביהם אני בטוח. 

I’ve lived a life that’s full,

חייתי חיים מלאים,

I’ve traveled each and ev’ry highway,

And more, much more than this;

I did it my way.

טעמתי ואז זרקתי.

I faced it all and I stood tall,

עמדתי מול הכל ועמדתי זקוף,

And did it my way.

ועשיתי זאת בדרכי.

I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried;

אהבתי, צחקתי ובכיתי;

I’ve had my fill; my share of losing.

היה לי מספיק, את חלקי באכזבות.

And now, as tears subside;

וכעת, שהדמעות יבשו;

I find it all so amusing.

זה נראה לי כה מצחיק.

To think I did all that;

לחשוב שעשיתי את כל זה;

And may I say - not in a shy way,

ואם אפשר לומר – לא בביישנות,

I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?

כי מהו אדם, מה יש לו?

If not himself, then he has naught.

אם לא הוא עצמו, אז אין לו כלום.

To say the things he truly feels;

לומר את מה שהוא באמת מרגיש;

And not the words of one who kneels.

ולא כמו אחד המתחנחן.
